why ppl in other wards can get patients from different countries

with different language and all weird stuff

and me everyday same thing

so i got one today *unexpectedly*

first thing my pharmacist asked me this morning was

what language do you speak

because he has a patient who only speaks mandarin

and so i interviewed the patient with some funny mandarin

because when you spent more than 3 years studying stuff in english

you couldnt be translating everything in mandarin so precisely

after the interview

my pharmacist told me

you did a good job

i was thinking

if you would ever understand our conversation, it will be a joke forever.

i always didnt feel comfortable while i was hanging around with guys

i didnt really talk much to guys before

but since last year

i got to work one-to-one with guy often

#1 i worked with a guy pharmacist back home

#2 i worked with a guy supervisor during summer research

#3 i got hang out with a guy friend almost everyday during summer

#4 i got to work with another guy pharmacist during placement

i never feel comfortable when i know i am going to work with a guy

but i dont know why

i kept allocated for being with a guy supervisor

i guess its time for me to learn to blend in well with guys

oh well.

im getting crazy in this summer

been to few friends' graduations last few days

that was the time that they have been waiting for

for all the hard work to be paid off

i am so proud of them

esp the one in the last photo. he had been spending 6 years in medical school

i went out dinner with TWO guys

if it was me 2 years ago, i wouldn't be going out with 2 guys alone

but today was different

its december yo!

month of happiness :D

that is my buffer and some drug compounds with that super expensive machine

now i understand the passion that researchers have towards their studies

everything that i made, i am super sayang them, just like my own baby

ok weird. hahah

today was kinda extreme

i woke up at 630am, not because of super early sunrise but because of my nervous-ness

that machine gave me lots of pressure and stress

i got to operate it myself alone without any supervision today

i lost my appetite the night before and i couldnt sleep well

i was just too worried that i will break that machine or do something wrong

so i ended up wake up so early in the morning - had no appetite to do breakfast as well

got a piece of chocolate just to make sure that i wont faint hahah

first operation was quite scary

i found myself super redundant

i checked everything for so many times

do undo redo do undo redo and double checking with my lab book

just to make sure everything is on the right place

stress max

my heartbeat never went down for even a second!

anyway i did it pretty well

the graph fitted quite nice

to be honest im so clueless about how to read the graph - whether it is good

my supervisor told me its quite good

but its not "WAH MAGGI YOU DID A GOOD JOB :D THE RESULTS ARE SO GOOD!" kind of response

but "yeah, the graph looks pretty good." kind of emotion-less response

;(

oh the main point is

i am always nervous and scared before i go and meet my supervisor

but i always come home with smile on my face after i met my supervisor

now the 4th year student left, so whole store got 2 students left, me and my friend.

she research i research no one can do weekdays shifts

we're the sources of troubles. we both sangat stress now. hope our boss won't marah us lah as in the highest punya proprietor.

and because i couldnt do weekdays, i said yes to permanent Sunday shift

take note: PERMANENT.

i regretted straight after i said yes. and now im still blaming myself.

and I did a most intensive sports in my life that weekend.
beach volleyball, physically-torturing game, and futsal. omg right? I cant believe it too.

that was the day I went to DFO for window shopping.
the wind was so strong, I almost kena blown away. I am serious.
so I guess that was the time that all the dust/pollen flew into my nose and got me
allergic rhinitis aka hayfever

runny, itchy nose, watery eyes, sore throat, sneezing -___-
I went to work on Tues, the pharmacist was caught by cold as well. 2 sick ppl work together *sigh sigh

a customer came and asked for cough product
he said to me "recently everyone got runny nose and I got sore throat now, I should get some medication just in case" and he laughed at me, because I was sniffing -__- *runny nose grrr*

but what to do. working again tmr. and working 3 nights next week.

it told me minimum 12'C
but it was freezing while I waited for tram. the wind was insane.
melbourne government should think of getting INDOOR tram stop :O

update a little bit about my job :)
I always confident when I was 'rehearsal-ing' in front of the pharmacist and told every counseling points.
but when I came in front of the patient, my mind was totally blank. and I started, err, err, err......
and I always forgot to tell the important points. I will only remember when the customer left.
"Oh no! I should've told her/him this! Urgh!" - that's me :S
I forgot to tell the customer not to use oxymetazoline nasal spray for more than 3 days continuously.
I hope that customer won't come back complaining the rebound congestion :/
I remembered that customer want to get rid of runny nose VERY desperately.
I was so blur that I asked my pharmacist whether roxythromycin should be taken before or after food, even the label 3b - take with an empty stomach, had been sticked on the medication box.
I am doing quite well with dispensing, but not the counseling part.
I don't want myself to be as dispensing machine which sometimes I do feel like I am just a dispensing machine ;(
things will get better I believe :)

#1 winter holiday back in summer place

I am so so bored at home on my birthday itself. so I decided to blog.
I wish I would have gone to work :S
anyway, I just realized I haven't blog about my trip to Langkawi and Penang and back in Sibu and Sarikei.

start off my holiday in Langkawi. went to those places that I've been to before.
but friend made the trip different. not forget to mention, we finally met up after 2.5 years!!
we went to pulau payar. but that is the pulau for snorkeling ONLY. means besides snorkeling, you have NOTHING ELSE to do :(
but it's not the place that matters the most, it is the time we had spent together.

after that we went to Penang. we celebrated a friend's birthday. #cake 1
and Penang trip was awesome, despite shopping the whole morning, the food hunting at night was just...too good.
thanks to the *Penang guy to bring us around tho. make the trip so worth it :D

when we back to Sibu, we had a surprise birthday for a friend! #cake 2
it was a successful surprise, most probably it is because her birthday is still far away.
but that is the only way tho, her birthday is my departure day! so sad.

and yes, we've been missing each other so much and finally we're gathering together!

because I had a surprise birthday for my friend, and so she did one for me at her place too! #cake 3
I was too bad for realizing their plan, but I did pretend that I didn't know.
and in the end we found out, the time that I started suspecting was the time that they just started planning.
I was too sensitive, or they failed severely? HAHAHAHAHA

so i was thinking about my results.

why did I get the highest mark for the subject that I hated the most and get the lowest mark for the subject that I loved the most.

and the answer is,
because when you hate that subject, you will try your best to conquer it, and put most effort on it so you got the highest mark among all other subjects. and when you love the subject, you will think that you will score well even you didn't really study it, so in the end you got the lowest mark for it.

so, the moral value is,
never love any of the units and hate them to the max :S

and please don't learn from me.

I just received my marks for my 4th mid-sem test. the first 3 were fine, things were beyond my expectation, I got so much better than what I expected. but no more for the 4th test. my marks were just at the borderline. I think this is a good point at this time, because I have been so slack this few days. it's like no motivation at all. this result released at a really right timing, and it woke me up. anyway, final in less than a month time.

and see where I am now. *saya sendiri pun speechless*

less studies and assignments in first 4 days of break.
few days of shopping made me feel so good, but I didn't buy much though :P

went DFO South Wharf and Docklands.
kinda lucky, saw pameran of handsome cars at Docklands.
I love some of the cars, so nice :D dream car leh.

second thing is breakfast/brunch. Birdman Eating :P
start loving Australian breakfast since last year when I had a really awesome breakfast in Adelaide.
need to try out more breakfast places neh.

ANZAC day on Monday. and ANZAC Day Commemoration March.
woke up 4:30am to catch the earliest tram to go for dawn service.
quite a nice experience.

when you are in the midst of tests and assignments?

I found this a good way to relax and release. even though it might take away my few hours to study, I think it is worth it!

heck! I feel like I've gone through a whole disastrous semester, but when I looked onto the calendar, WHAT? it's still MARCH!! it's not even a month yet??!! oh well, March wasn't good to me. I've gone through quite a lot of stuff which stressed me up lots. it had been a loooooooong month! but, I am looking forward to April, May, June, July, bla bla bla. I believe this is just the beginning! Best is yet to come! woohoo! *excited*

whoever told me that 2nd year would be the hardest year in pharmacy course, after you passed 2nd year, you will be fine, I want to tell you that you're absolutely WRONG. you must probably graduated 20 or 30 years ago and now THINGS HAVE CHANGED. 3rd year is far more harder than 2nd year!!!!! whoever taking pharmacy now *hint:lolo2 and mic* be prepared! XD

of too much desserts. generally, too much of chocolates. and I am now having sore throat and cough plus I officially lost my voice again. Talk to me after a week then! gonna remain silent for a week till my voice is completely back! ;(

of Pharmacy Law and Legislation. if all things could be as simple as in the picture, it would be great great great. but yea, reality is reality. I can say, most probably, the worst thing about the pharmacy course is its law and legislation.

I just spent exactly 2 hours and 15 minutes to print out all my lecture notes for next 2 weeks.
the amount of papers and ink used, were amazing. ;S

one thing that I love about iPhone or any other smartphones is,

their apps.

the place where we had a surprise birthday to Jess's belated 21st birthday.

the sunny day when we went to Brighton Beach *again* and got a really bad sun tan :( sun is still the biggest enemy of mine.

a night where we were out for xinyi's belated 22nd birthday at southbank in an Irish Bar.

I love lomo, I love polaroid, I love photography.
and iPhone brings them all together.
so you can see why I love iPhone much. :)
I need not to spend money on lomo cameras and films.
but I still wish to get an instax camera anyway! =X

i feel like crying when see the videos about Jay Chou concert in Malaysia. i really wish i was there. :'(

few things about it.
#1 my very first time with full make-up. eyeliner, eye shadow, fake eyelashes, base, everything.
#2 sleeve-less DRESS! but I put on a cardigan when I go out =p
#3 my CURLY hair!! but it is not very curly now. sometimes when my hair is in good mood, it will present really really nice. and im loving it :)

I need to tie up ALL my hair when working.
I need to wear shirts with collars, and formal working pants.
and I ended up looking like a nurse!
anyways, this is one of my great breakthroughs in the very beginning of year 2011.
this is my 1st job in my life.
